Aug 20 (IBNS) There is some good new for all those Twilight fans that’s their star Robert Pattinson is alive and single.

Rumors were rife that “Twilight” hottie Robert Pattinson died of a heroin overdose – making the undead actor’s untimely demise one of the most-searched terms on Google.

New York Daily reported that it could have been a publicity stunt for the “New Moon” sequel, or perhaps a leak from the “Eclipse” set, which has some plot spoilers buzzing that his “vegetarian vampire” character Edward Cullen dies?

But the 23-year-old British hunk, who is alive and well and filming in Vancouver, gave an exclusive interview in which he said: “I don’t have a girlfriend. I don’t know why.”

His admission contradicts the pix that came out over the weekend catching Pattinson and his onscreen love, Kristen Stewart, snuggling at a Kings of Leon concert in Vancouver.

Several images show them nose-to-nose, and witnesses have dished that the chummy pair take frequent cigarette breaks together and hang out off-set.

Still, the star of the vampire romance saga adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s books insists he’s single.

“You always think you’re going to get more girls after you’ve made a movie and it never happens,” he says, obviously not counting the thousands of screaming tweens that follow his every step.

“It’s especially difficult in L.A. Most of the women there are actresses and by default that makes them a little bit nuts – not that that’s a bad thing,” he adds.
