Now, the immensely talented actor shall be a part of the classic remake of “Wizard Of Oz” which is to be directed by Sam Mendes. Reportedly, the actor will be playing the role of the wizard in the immortal American classic which shall be titled as “Oz The Great and Powerful”. The movie shall trace back the story of the man behind the stage and how he emerged to be the powerful man of Oz from a simple ring master way back in the circus.

The golden director of Hollywood; Sam Mendes stepped into his director’s shoes for the movie as soon as the upcoming Bond movie was put on hold for an unknown reason. It is needless to mention that with the presence of Sam Mendes; this movie shall definitely receive an extra edge. As a matter of fact the very first “Wizard Of Oz” (1939) had Judy Garland. Following that there was “Return To Oz” released by Disney in the year of 1985. The makers told the media that the new iteration of the movie shall be a prequel to the Judy Garland movie.
