London, July 13 (ANI): American actor Robert De Niro has offered support to actor Mel Gibson.
The film icon has said that he hopes the ‘Braveheart’ star gets through his personal problems.
Gibson is being investigated by the Los Angeles police amid allegations that he was violent towards his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, during a reported incident in January 2010.
This came after the Mad Max actor was accused of using offensive racial language in an expletive-laden, recorded argument with his ex.
Bosses at his talent agency, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, have reportedly dropped Gibson. But De Niro hopes that Gibson can solve out the issues in his personal life, reports The Daily Star.
“I hope he gets through all this. It’s unfortunate for him. You know,” he told Oz reporters. (ANI)
