New York, Jan 21 (ANI): Robert De Niro and his wife Grace Hightower have agreed to settle a suit brought by their former nanny Alexis Barry.
They will pay 30,000 dollars to settle the suit, in which the nanny accused the couple of stiffing her on overtime.
Barry sued the “Goodfellas” star and his wife last year, charging that they never paid her for more than 750 hours of overtime, reports the New York Daily News.
“The parties will keep the terms of this settlement confidential, as well as any matter related to (Barry’s) employment,” read a stipulation filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.
Barry went to work for the celebrity couple in August 2006, earning 31.25 dollars an hour and a 46.88 dollars overtime rate to take care of their son, according to her suit.
But she claimed De Niro and Hightower didn’t pay her for overtime or for 496 dollars in expenses. (ANI)
