Robert Culp Of “I Spy” Fame Dies At 79

robertLos Angeles, March 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 79 year old actor Robert Culp, who had created history in American small screen by pairing with Bill Cosby in the series “I Spy,” is dead. The actor died on Wednesday, after he collapsed in front of his home. The news of the actor’s death was confirmed by his manager Hillard Elkins. Though the exact medical reason of the collapse is not yet known, no foul play is being suspected by the Los Angeles police. According to reports, the actor’s son was told the reason of death to be a heart attack.

According to Robert Culp’s manager Hillard Elkins, the actor had gone for an early hour walk outside when he collapsed. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but the actor could not be revived and was declared dead before noon. The sudden death of the actor has shocked his family. According to reports, the actor’s ex-wife Candace Culp has reportedly said that the news has left her devastated.

Bill Cosby, the costar of Robert Culp in “I Spy” which was racially path-breaking in the web of American Television series, on Wednesday expressed his views on Robert Culp. The actor asserted that Robert Culp was not just a co-star but also a big brother who had always guided him in his life. He said that though the three consecutive Emmy Awards for the best actor in a leading role was handed to Bill Cosby, the deceased actor who was also nominated for his part in the series “I Spy” was never sulking. He said that Robert Culp was meticulous and committed to his work.
