Robert “Bobby” Spillane, Actor and Son of Irish Mobster Falls To Death

mickey-st July 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Robert “Bobby” Spillane, the son of the murdered Irish mobster Mickey Spillane, also known as an actor in such television shows as ‘Rescue Me’ and ‘Law and Order’ was killed when he fell out of his sixth story apartment window in New York City’s Eighth Avenue.

Spillane, who was an actor as well as a screenwriter fell out of his apartment window in Manhattan’s Midtown, and landed on the sidewalk at approximately 8 pm. The incident occurred near the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. He was reported by FOX News to have been found by his brother who had just walked out of a local coffee shop down below Bobby’s apartment.

According to the ‘Associated Press’, witnesses said that Bobby was leaning out of his window, and calling out to his brother, Michael, when the screen of the open window he was pressed against gave way, and Bobby, who had one arm in a sling from a recent surgery, fell to his death.

Jim McManus, who is Bobby’s uncle and a neighborhood pawn broker as well as the district leader of McManus Midtown Democratic Association, which is a political club, stated, “The screen gave out. He only had one arm and he went out with the screen. He was the nicest kid in the world. He helped everyone.” McManus went on to call it “a sad accident”. The police have not yet confirmed whether the fall was accidental.
