20090317_robloweMay 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Rob Loweis reportedly leaving ABC’s political-family drama”Brothers and Sisters” after being a regular in Season 2. Married to Kitty Walker in the show, Rob Lowe’s character Robert McCallister, in the television drama, is quite ‘unutilizing’ considering the actors’ actual potential. The recent episodes showed Robert McCallister opting out of his Senate re-election campaign. The expected exit strategy would be to kill off the character. The last episode showed Robert McCallister having a major car accident, wife Kitty Walker who is with him in the crash is unharmed. This is an obvious course taken by the show forward with death.

Rob Lowe was apparently unhappy with the lack of screen-time that his character got on the show. His fans though can look forward to the new role of the state auditor he is playing in NBC’s show ‘Parks and Recreation’. ABC though will not let an actor of Rob Lowe’s caliber go so easily. ABC Entertainment Steve McPherson released a statement which said that they are in talks with Rob Lowe about a show that he will be anchoring himself, but nothing has been finalized.

Robert McCallister, played by Rob Lowe, was a California Senator who preciously ran for the Governor of California and also a presidential candidate. His wife Kitty Walkers, played by Calista Flockhart, also embarked on a political career with her own congressional run. Brothers and Sisters has a very powerful cast with the likes of Sally Field and Calista Flockhart. According to sources, there are no issues between ABC and Rob Lowe.
