Rob Lowe - Now A Regular In Parks and Rec

Rob Lowe August 2, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The NBC has elevated Rob Lowe to a regular in the series Parks and Recreation. It was one of the multiple announcements that the network got to make after having been in a discussion with the TV critics. The session with the TV critics of the nation is an annual event.

Other announcements included Kathy Bates returning in ‘The Office’ as a guest star while Drew Carey gets the guest spot in the ‘Community’

Fancast reported the event saying that it is a perfect fit for Lowe. Although the details of Rob Lowe’s role is yet to be sketched out properly, the grapevine has it that he will be seen in the second last episode of the show this season and will continue on a regular basis season three onwards.

The second season of Parks and Recs is enjoying an increased popularity right now and everyone hopes that Schur and his team will be coming up with a good material for Rob Lowe.

Other news that NBS revealed includes 30 Rock performing live on the 14th of October as well as closing the deal with 44, Peter Berg’s film. This automatically leads one to assume that ‘Prime Suspect’ is likely to return mid season. ‘Parenthood’ is also destined to go off air on September 14. ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ is all set to begin on 22nd September while ‘Outlaw’ a drama by Jimmy Smits is expected to debut on September 15. ‘The Apprentice’ is expected to return on the same day as well.
