Mumbai, April 5 (IANS) Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has given full credit to coach Gary Kirsten for the Indian team winning the cricket World Cup and feels that a road in the city should be named after him to honour him.

“Gary Kirsten is the primary architect of this great win. Basically he has converted the same core of players that have been around for a bit into a solid team. Respect and lots of love to him. Should name a road after him. How about calling the road leading to Wankhede the Kirsten’s Way for showing us the way…” Ranbir said in a statement.

The actor, who saw the match live at the Wankhade stadium Saturday, was completely ecstatic after the win.

“The experience at the stadium was just euphoric. Team India is on the field a bunch of players from all over India totally diverse in language, race, religion, working together as a very powerful unit. I saw the same spirit outside the field in the biggest street party in the world,” he said.

I can’t say no to Abbas-Mastan: Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu, who debuted in the industry with Abbas-Mastan’s 2001 directorial venture “Ajnabee” and then went on to do more films with them, says it is very difficult to turn down their films.

“It is very difficult to turn down an Abbas-Mastan offer because firstly, they gave me my first break and secondly, because they are fantastic filmmakers. They know how to use me as an artiste. Everytime when they present me, it has been great,” Bipasha told IANS.

“I think I’m their baby. I was launched by them. I don’t think I would be acting if I wouldn’t have done ‘Ajnabee’. The kind of comfort level they provided at that point of time to a newcomer was great. I was just doing it for fun because I was bored of modeling. If I would have had a bad experience, I would have done something else,” she added.

The actress has also worked with the duo in “Race” and will now be seen in their forthcoming venture “Players”.

From films to emceeing - Aarti Chabria keeps herself busy!

Aarti Chabria, who has not been very active in films, has taken to emceeing and recently hosted an event in Delhi, where she also broke into an impromptu jig.

The event also saw performances by Jacqueline Fernandes and Anushka Sharma.

“Aarti was doing such a fabulous job as emcee that the people weren’t just content with her just talking to them and they all unanimously started shouting out for Aarti to perform for them. She was hesitant at first but eventually gave in and broke into a dance on a medley of songs from ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’,” said a fan who witnessed the event.

Maybe an alternate career is waiting for Aarti, who was last seen in Manoj Bajpayee starrer “Dus Tola”.
