Connecticut, Feb 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American actor Rip Torn, who had been honored with the Emmy Award for his incredible acting, is heading to a rehab. As per the sources, the actor is now 78 year old and is trying to recover from the alcohol abuse that led to some unfortunate incidents in his life. The actor was recently arrested from one of the Salisbury banks and had been charged for attempting robbery. Reports indicated that the actor, who was under the influence of alcohol also carried a fully loaded fire-arm with him, when he was arrested.

Apparently, it had appeared that the actor was attempting to rob the bank, later it was reported that the actor did not have any such criminal motives. He was completely intoxicated at the time of this incident and was unaware of what he had been doing. As per the reports, even though the actor was carrying firearms, he did not threaten anyone with it. The actor, who had to fund a bond of $100,000 for his release was unaware of his activities as he considered that he was at his home.

The actor, who has been released on bond will have to abide by some conditions of the bond for avoiding any legal hassles further. It has been reported that he will have to undergo a session in a rehabilitation center for treating the alcohol addiction, which leads him to several unwanted situations. The news that the actor would be admitted to a rehabilitation center has received huge attention and many people anticipate whether a rehabilitation program will be effective on the actor at this age.
