January 14th, 2010 - 1:16 pm ICT by ANILondon, January 14 (ANI): Ringo Starr is urging fans to make the ‘peace’ hand gesture as part of his 70th birthday celebration this year.
The former Beatles drummer is due to begin a concert at New York’s radio City Music Hall on July 7, when he turns septuagenarian.
And the star wants devotees to join him before the show in spreading “peace and love” by making the V-shaped hand symbol at midday.
“We have big plans to do an all star tour this summer. We’ll be in New York on July 7 which is my birthday and we’re going to celebrate,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
“No matter what state you’re in, at noon wherever you are I’d like you to (gesture) peace and love,” he added. (ANI)
