Ringo Starr joins Yoko Ono on stage at John Lennon tribute concert
October 11th, 2010 - 5:20 pm ICT by ANILondon, Oct 11 (ANI): Ringo Starr joined Yoko Ono on stage at a John Lennon tribute concert.
The pair sang ‘Give Peace A Chance’, a Plastic Ono Band song penned by Lennon while the Fab Four were still together, on would have been the 70th birthday of the ex-Beatles, reports the Daily Express.
Also present on stage at the memorial gig in Reykjavik on Saturday were Sean Lennon, who shares his father’s birthday, and George Harrison’s widow Olivia and son Dhani.
Yoko, 77, was in Iceland to relight the Imagine Peace Tower, a monument created in memory of Lennon, one of the world’s greatest songwriters. (ANI)
