Ringo Starr brushes off Vatican’s effort to forgive Beatles

In 1966, John Lennon sardonically remarked that the Beatles had become more popular than Jesus Christ, reports the New York Daily News.
During an interview with CNN, Starr said: “Didn’t the Vatican say we were satanic? And they still forgive us?
“I think [the Vatican] has more to talk about than The Beatles, he added, alluding to the child sex abuse scandal that continues to plague the church. (ANI)
