Rihanna Rock Abu Dhabi Dec.30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 2010 will be pretty special for the party-goers of Abu Dhabi, since they’ll get a chance to party with the ‘Umbrella’ star, Rihanna, or rather watch her perform for them. The anticipation has been building among the residents of Abu Dhabi since the news of the R&B star’s performance at a concert was confirmed in late October. It was not long ago, when in the month of May, the star canceled her performance in the same city due to personal reasons. It is also being speculated that this performance is in fact in lieu of the May disaster. After that, the ‘Don’t Stop The Music’ star has not held any big performance any where, as big-scale as her upcoming-performance.

Earlier there were reports that, the star will be “toning-down” her show that contains raunchy acts. Sources claim that the pop-star was asked to wear more ‘conservative’ costumes for her act. However, the promoters for the show have gone to deny these reports. The spokesperson has issued an official statement that says “the facts and figures reported are inaccurate”. According to the organizers of the show, Rihanna is bringing something new to the United Arab Emirates capital city, which will “be a grand way of entering in the New Year of 2010.”

Robyn Rihanna Fenty or more popularly known as Rihanna, will be swapping in J. Lo’s shoes, who was in the city to perform at the 2009 New Year’s party which was held at the Emirates Palace hotel. Rihanna, 21, will be reportedly paid a hefty amount as close to $ 500,000 for her act.

Just liked to point out that Jennifer Lopez wasn’t the one who had a concert in Abu Dhabi last year on New Year’s Eve, it was actually Shakira.
