Rihanna sets new record with latest album
November 28th, 2011 - 3:42 pm ICT by IANS London, Nov 28 (IANS) Pop star Rihanna has become the first artist in 39 years to top Britain’s albums and singles charts twice in the same year with different releases.
According to femalefirst.co.uk, the 23-year-old’s new album “Talk That Talk” debuted at number one Sunday, while her last album “We Found Love” still is on charts.
In January, Rihanna scored a chart double in Britain when “Loud” was the country’s biggest selling album and “What’s My Name”, her song with rapper Drake, was the most popular single.
She is the first female to achieve the position, while British rock band T-Rex was the last to do so in 1972.
