Rihanna Gives Best Friend Katy Perry’s Wedding A Miss

October 27, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Katy Perry and Russell Brand were declared man and wife in a Hindu ceremony held in Rajasthan on the 23rd of October. While 85 members from the couple’s close friends and family were present to show their love for the couple, Rihanna, known in industry circles as the bride’s best gal pal, was conspicuously missing. While Rihanna makes it to all of Katy Perry’s parties held back home, she reportedly could not find the time to make it to India, the singer’s professional commitments keeping her busy.
However, it had been reported earlier that Rihanna would attend the extravagant ceremony held over this weekend. Reports circulating in the US suggest that the singer was in the last stages of an album recording and had to change her manager. Therefore, she had to cancel all plans of traveling to India. Rihanna was present at Katy Perry’s bachelorette bash held in Las Vegas last month.
Reports claim that a room was also kept aside for Rihanna in the Aman-i-Khas resort where the nuptial was carried out, with Katy Perry hopeful that her buddy would make it to the ceremony even if she was late! However, Rihanna has been busy recording her latest album and she has virtually been living in the studio for the last couple of days.
