Rihanna denies that she provoked Chris Brown
June 24th, 2011 - 8:05 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, June 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Rihanna has denied being responsible provoking former boyfriend Chris Brown to attack her. The offending tweet which suggested such a thing, was carried by MTV Canada got a furious response from the singer.
The first tweet which appeared on Rihanna’s Twitter official page said that, “‘I admit it. I provoked Chris [Brown] to hit me. It not entirely his fault. #imSORRY?’ ”
The original tweet was carried by MTV Canada in its bulleting but that did not please the singer. She took to Twitter later to respond to the tweet. Her tweet was “are u f–king kiddin me?????? You’re supposed to be a RELIABLE source for news on music and this is the bulls–t u post??”
MTV Canada tweeted back denying any malicious inten. The MTV tweet said that, “#Rihanna fans. We were reporting on a story that was posted on several sites today. We had no intention to be salacious.”
Brown was highly criticized following his assault on Rihanna who was then his girlfriend. He was given five years suspended jail sentence for the incident. He later apologized for the incident but that did very little to save the relationship between the two.
