New York City, Nov 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rihana gave her first TV interview on ‘Good Morning America’ and regretted going back to boyfriend Chris Brown after he assaulted her. “It’s completely normal to go back. You start lying to yourself,” the 21-year-old singer said on “Good Morning America” in her first TV interview following the beating. “I’ll say that to any young girl who is going through domestic violence: ‘Don’t react off of love.’”

Rihana was left bruised and physically battered in an assault incident that took place in February. The twenty-year-old Chris Brown was later arrested on Feb. 8, hours after he was accused of beating Rihana after the couple attended a pre-Grammy Awards party. He later pleaded guilty to felony assault and a judge ordered Brown and Rihana to stay away from each other. He was later sentenced to six months of community service, 12 months of domestic violence counseling and five years probation.

He said: “I’m human. If people feel a certain way, I’m not going to say they’re wrong. But it’s not right to judge somebody when people make mistakes all the time.

“I’ve learned from my mistakes and I’m learning from them. And I regret every moment, every second of it.”

In the interview, Rihana said she was ashamed to go back to him after the attack. “That’s embarrassing — that’s the type of person I fell in love with. So far in love, so unconditional, that I went back,” she said. “That’s not what I want to teach people.”
