Washington , Dec 29 (ANI): Latin singer Ricky Martin will be honoured by his fellowmen in the forthcoming celebrations of the San Sebastian Street Festival in his native country Puerto Rico .
The San Sebastian Street Festival will be dedicated to the Livin La Vida singer, who celebrated his 36th birthday on Christmas Eve, reports People.
The festival, which is a wild multi-day event beginning on January 17 in Old San Juan, will be dedicating its celebration to the singer in recognition to his achievements, not only in his career, but his charitable work as well.
The Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning singer is an anti child trafficking activist, and founded the Ricky Martin Foundation in 2004.
The charitys mission statement read: “The Ricky Martin Foundation advocates for the well being of children around the globe in critical areas such as social justice, education and health.
Meanwhile Ricky issued a statement saying that he is thrilled to receive the honour from the organizers of the 38th annual festival. (ANI)
