Ricky Martin, Reik to perform at awards show
July 8th, 2011 - 12:07 pm ICT by IANSMiami, July 8 (IANS/EFE) Puerto Rican pop star Ricky Martin will perform at the Premios Juventud 2011 awards show, which will also feature performances by Spanish singer Natalia Jimenez, Colombia’s Fanny Lu and Mexican trio Reik.
According to a statement released by Univision Thursday, which is producing the July 21 live broadcast from Miami’s BankUnited Center, this edition of the award show will feature a record number of appearances by international stars.
The gala will also have Pitbull as an invited guest, who along with Ne-Yo and Nayer will perform “Give Me Everything (Tonight)”. It will also be the world debut of “Ven Conmigo”, with Daddy Yankee and Prince Royce and will have Maite Perroni and Marco Di Mauro perform “A Partir de Hoy”, the hit from the album “Triunfo del Amor”.
In addition, reggaeton star Plan B will perform “Si no le contesto”, along with Tony Dize and Zion & Lennox, and the popular Italian trio Il Volo will perform for the first time on Spanish-language television in the US.
Premios Juventud will also feature the presence of some of the popular personalities from Hispanic television, including William Levy, Aaron Diaz, Blanca Soto, Danna Paola, Paulina Goto and Nastassja Bolivar.
During the ceremony, Spanish actor Antonio Banderas will be presented with the “Super Nova” prize.
