Gossip columnists who have been talking being gay issue of the Latin superstar Ricky Martin have now become speechless when the news reported today by Us Weekly Magazine that he has become a father to twin boys.

According to a statement from the star’s representative, the twin boys carried by an unnamed surrogate mother few weeks ago.

“The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care,” said the representative of Ricky Martin.

“Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parents and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.” He added.

However there is no further details like the mother’s name or the babies’ names have been revealed.

Three years ago, the 36 year-old superstar was asked about his sexuality by Barbara Walters, he said “I think that sexuality is something that each individual should deal with in their own way. And that’s all I have to say about that.“
