Richard Simmons stars in Air New Zealand safety video
March 30th, 2011 - 2:15 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattWellington, Mar 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Air New Zealand has released their latest air safety video featuring fitness guru Richard Simmons. Simmons takes the role of an instructor in the video teaching air passengers on how to stay safe during the flight.
Before the exercise begins, Simmons warns that the regime is going to get the passengers to “work out.” The video is as interesting as it is hilarious. Simmons has some tips for fans in case flights go haywire. In the video, he suggests that in the event of the plane crashing into the sea, passengers ought to grab a life jacket and blow to get it inflated.
The public affairs manager of Air New Zealand believes that though the video is colorful and in some way hilarious, the attention should not be shifted away from the message that it contains.
Mike Tod was quoted by New Zealand Herald as saying, “Safety is paramount and non-negotiable at Air New Zealand, and Fit to Fly will again get our passengers sitting up and taking notice of these important pre-flight messages in an engaging and fun way. Simmons’ fitness moves will definitely ensure that all eyes are on the safety briefing.”
