Richard Heene, Dad of ‘Balloon Boy’ Creates Bear Back Scratch
October 29th, 2010 - 1:27 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonOct 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The father of the “balloon boy”, who was made famous after a publicity stunt claiming that his son had flown away in a balloon as the world looked on in horror, has returned with a new product to sell- a back scratcher which is fashioned after the method a wild bear uses to scratch his back, according to the NY Daily News.
Heene is selling the “Bear Scratch” online for twenty bucks. It is actually just a three foot long tree limb which can be nailed to the wall. He even has a YouTube commercial, which can be seen below, to advertise his new idea.
“Check it out — when you walk into the woods, you don’t see a bear break off a branch and scratch his back. No, he uses the entire tree!” he shouts as he goes to demonstrate how his back scratcher works. “Oh, God — now that is a back scratch, that is a back scratch!” He adds.
His slogan? “If you itch like a son of a twitch.”
