No Strings Attached is a frothy and light-hearted film that is a casual sex comedy churned out purely to entertain the audience without promising to be a landmark film.
Kutcher plays Adam Franklin and Portman essays Emma Kurtzman, two teenage camp friends who bump onto each other years later in Los Angeles. Yearning for a partner, they strike an arrangement of being in a purely physical relationship with ‘no strings attached’. Thus begins the proceedings of a cheesy comedy with well-timed one-liners. The audience are thrown into a roller coaster ride evoking a sense of nostalgia for the much-loved rom coms.

Though the two had engaged in a mutual agreement of not getting into an emotional relationship, before long feelings develop and this gives way for a dramatic climax. The film has received decent ratings from the critics and a positive word of mouth publicity may augur well for the movie.

Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman put up great performances and their chemistry is red hot and appreciable. The movie is consistent throughout and the writing is crisp and ensures some guffaws. Overall, a good film that is bound to tickle some of your funny bones!
