Review Of ‘Modern Family’s ‘ ‘Earthquake’

October 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The latest episode of ‘Modern family’ was aptly named ‘Earthquake’ and it was all about Manny Delgado and his confusions in life. The episode began with an earthquake hitting the area and how everyone reacts differently to the natural calamity.
On one side, we see Phil getting worried because he forgot to anchor a cabinet (which Claire had asked him to anchor a long time back) that almost fell on Luke during the earthquake. Fortunately Claire is locked in the bathroom with a handyman during the earthquake so Phil can remove the evidence of his procrastination. The best part was the kids covering for Phil when Claire confronts him.
The highlight of the show has to be Manny’s funny lines; we particularly loved the health-class mix-up that resulted in a knowledge overload on menstruation. Mitchell had some witty lines where she referred to Cam as a “Mob Wife” for believing her partner’s lies. The addition of Nathan Lane was not quite groundbreaking as we expected that but it was bearable. Jay and Manny interacted on the golf course talking about the different facets of life. Manny’s “fast and loose” line was fantastic and left the audience in splits.
