Discovery has announced that it is set to start the filming of the seventh season of the show “Deadliest Catch” next week. This news is according to a statement that was issued on Monday by Discovery.

The network announced that the fishing boat, Cornelia Marie is set to return on the show but obviously without its late captain, Phil Harris. However Harris’s two sons, Josh and Jake will be on board the Cornelia Marie as deckhands. The statement was however silent on the fate of the Captain. Sig Hansen, Andy Hillstrand and Jonathan Hillstrand on the show.

Andy and Jonathan were sued by the network for failing to complete a contract. The company is seeking $3million from the Hilltrands and the duo announced last week that they are quitting the series.

The trio has however failed to comment on the omission but in an earlier interview with the Hollywood Reporter they said they were unable to continue with the show because of the current situation that they have with the network.

It is however believed that they two sides are not commenting on the issue because they are trying to settle the lawsuit behind the scene.

The statement however confirmed that Captains Derrick Ray (Phil Harris’s replacement) and Bill Wichrowski are returning on the show this season and so will engineer, Steve Ward and deckhands Freddie Maughtai and Ryan Simpson.
