“Rescue Me” Season 6 Premier Grabs Viewer’s Attention

rescueJune 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Rescue Me” the popular television series returned on television with its Season 6 premier on June 29. The show has returned with 10 episodes this season and reports claim that it will be wrapped by the season 7, that will have nine episodes culminating in with the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attack which had inspired “Rescue Me”. On Tuesday the premier episode of the “Rescue Me” Season 6 that was titled “Legacy” lived up to the expectation of the audience who wanted to see the drama unfold as the season 5 had ended with the main character shown shot by his Uncle.

“Rescue Me” that ended its Season 5 with Tommy Gavin seen bleeding profusely after being shot by his uncle Teddy, on Tuesday showed the character having a vision of his afterlife. The terrifying vision of the afterlife shakes Tommy to his core and he is seen desperately trying to build up a fresh new relationship with his family and friends. At his professional field the fate of the crew of the Firehouse is seen hanging on the balance as the department has decided to cut down on costs.

The series once again shows the hardship and the complications that surround the life of Tommy Gavin whose personal life is full of turmoil and added to it this season is his daughter’s addiction to alcohol. Denis Leary who plays the character of Tommy Gavin and is also the co-creator of the show has said previously that in the Season 6 of the show “there’s definitely a lot of retribution in Season 6 between Janet and Sheila” (the wife and lover of Tommy Gavin). The viewers are now waiting for the next episode to see the drama unfold.
