Renowned Singer Chuck Berry Collapses On Stage During His Chicago Concert

cbJan 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Renowned Rock ‘n’ Roll figure Chuck Berry collapsed on stage during his performance on Saturday night in Chicago. His representative and Chicago Fire Department confirmed the news to the media. His representative also said that the 84 year old musician refused medical attention before his concert on Saturday evening. The eyewitnesses said the singer was giving an out of tune performance and suddenly he slumped on he slumped over his piano during his performance.

CMG Worldwide’s Andy Riesmeyer (the agency which represents the musician) said that Chuck Berry fainted due to “exhaustion”, owing to his busy schedule. However, after medical attention, he came back to the stage and performed his famous “duck walk” dance for his audience before leaving the stage for the night. Andy Riesmeyer said that Chuck Berry could not complete his show. On Sunday, the representative said that the “Maybellene” singer is “fine” and in good health. He also said that the legendary singer has returned to his home in St. Louis.

Another agency, WME, which also represents Chuck Berry, released a statement claiming that the musician is in good health and also he sounded energetic when the representative Dick Alen spoke with him in the afternoon. Chicago Fire Department’s spokesman Joe Roccasalva said that they received a call from Chicago Congress Department on Saturday, befor4e Chuck Berry took the stage to perform. However, the spokesman said that the “Roll Over Beethoven” singer refused to go to hospital and hence he could not discuss about the condition of the singer. The eyewitnesses reported that Chuck Berry, after coming back to the stage, told that he had no strength to perform on the stage.
