‘Renigunta’ in trouble again
December 1st, 2009 - 6:22 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire
Renigunta has been stuck in unwarranted speculations. First it was censor board officials who were after the film with scissors to chop down more than a dozen of shots and now, the film is struck in legal battle regarding financial debts. Apparently, Mahendra Kumar Jain, producer of the film “Renigunta’ has reportedly received around 6 Crores from Uttam Chand and Mohan Kumar. And now there seems to be a difference of opinion that has landed both parties in a legal soup.
Both the parties have now framed a legal suite against producer Mahendra Kumar Jain. After heeding to the petitions of the parties, High Court judge Raja Surya has granted interim stay on the film’s release up to December 7.
That’s just too bad for fans, as many were waiting for the film to hit screens on December 4.
