Remains Of Errol Flynn’s Son, Sean May Have Been Found
March 30th, 2010 - 2:48 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonMar 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Two searchers believe that they have found the remains of photographer Sean Flynn, the son of Hollywood actor Errol Flynn, and former French Hollywood star Lili Damita. Forensic tests are being conducted in order to prove or disprove their beliefs. Sean Flynn disappeared during the Cambodian war back in 1970, according to the U.S. Embassy in statement on Monday.
Sean is among at least 37 journalists which went missing or were killed during the war between 1970 and 1975. The United States Lon Nol government was at war with the North Vietnamese Khmer Rouge. It has been reported that the Khmer Rouge were known to have captured many journalists and probably executed them.
The remains were handed over by Australian David MacMillan and Briton Keith Rotheram on Friday, according to U.S. Embassy spokesman John Johnson. They were then sent on to the POW/MIA Accounting Command in Hawaii, which handles trying to account for Americans missing from past wars. “Obviously there is nothing conclusive and tests need to be conducted,” Johnson said. “Each case is different so it is difficult to speculate on how long the analysis may take.”
