Complete Count Committees (CCCs) are established to motivate communities to respond to census and often include a cross section of community representatives- including government agencies, education, business, faith-based organizations and the media. The 2010 Census is a count of everyone living in the United States. The first Census was conducted in 1790 and has been carried out every 10 years since then.
Rajan Zed is also on the Board of Directors of Nevada World Trade Council and Northern Nevada International Center, elected to office of General Improvement District Trustee of Verdi TV District, member Citizens Advisory Committee of Regional Transportation Commission, member Reno Police Chief Advisory Board, Director of Interfaith Relations of Nevada Clergy Association, etc. He was invited by President of European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pottering, in December last in Brussels (Belgium) for a meeting to promote interfaith dialogue. Zed is one of the panelists for “On Faith”, a prestigious interactive conversation on religion produced jointly by Newsweek and WashingtonPost.com. He has been bestowed with “World Interfaith Leader Award”.
Created in 1861, Washoe County in Nevada (USA) covers an area of about 6,600 square miles and is bigger than about 75 countries of the world, including Bahamas, Qatar, Luxembourg, and Mauritius.
