Hungary, Oct. 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One of the judges, Marton Szipal, who is a reputed photographer, set the tone for the evening at the beauty pageant held in Hungary on Friday by stating that, “I think this competition is long overdue.” What had been so different about a beauty pageant to be declared as being “long overdue”? Well, it a was certainly not one of the usual ones as it celebrated the beauty that had been endowed by the knife or by cosmetic surgeries. By the end of the evening, it was 22 year old Reka Urban, who had emerged as the clear winner at the beauty pageant.

Reka Urban, a hostess walked away from pageant podium not only with the crown but an apartment as well. When the event had drawn to a close by the end of the evening Reka was declared as the winner and was flocked on the stage by the first runner up, Edina Kulcsar and second runner up, Alexandra Horvath. The second runner up was awarded a car as the prize besides the crown and the second runner up took home jewelry worth of $10, 800 [2 million forints]. The surgeons who had operated on the respective beauty queens participating at the pageant were also awarded.

Reka had been banned from taking part in the conventional pageants previously. Prior to her win she had said, “When talking about plastic surgery, people automatically associate girls who have done it with playmates, the sex industry and with a lifestyle supported by an old, wealthy lover. It is not so. I’m here to prove that plastic girls can be real too.”
