012011-eagle-scout-ex-creditJan 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) An anticipating American Idol, Christopher Cordeiro, went for the audition to try his luck in singing, but fate had something different in store for him. Or perhaps, he was just smart enough to keep another alternative avenue open for himself, that compensated for the sense of loss, when he was denied to qualify for the next round of the show, by the three judges of “American Idol” season 10, Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.

The moment the 18 year old boy was rejected by the judges, he was promoted to the rank of Eagle Scout the next day. In the audition, he sang “My Way” sporting a green checked shit and a khaki pant. However his performance was not impressive although, the producers of “American Idol” and the judges are more keen on recruiting the younger people for the show this time. He must have felt disheartened, but that did not last for too long. Back in November, he appeared for an interview with the Eagle Scout Board of Review, and that was his smart back up plan, in case he did not qualify in “American Idol”. The results were awaiting, but little did he expect that it would be declared in his favor, right on the day, when he would be rejected by the popular music oriented reality show.

Today, Christopher Cordeiro will be officially promoted to the next rank, when a special ceremony will be conducted by the Boy Scout organization, in his home town in New Jersey. One can no more call him a boy who failed to qualify for the musical show, but a socially responsible man, who achieved something that he had aimed for. For him the notion “Failure Is The Pillar Of Success” has proved to be all more true.
