Dec 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Betty Ford Center employee, Dawn Holland has been fired from the rehab center for selling the story of her assault by Lindsay Lohan to a reputed celebrity gossip website. Just few minutes after the gossip website posted the video of her interview, the rehab center released a statement, stating that one of their employees has violated their guidelines and hence she has been fired from her job. Dawn Holland, chemical technician said that Lindsay Lohan and two other patients were drinking at the rehab and when the former went to stop them, the “Mean Girls” actress assaulted her.

However, Russ Patrick, one of the officials of California rehab clinic said that by giving an interview, the Dawn Holland had given out a “privileged document” of their patients. He said that when the patients come to a center for treatment, they come to a place where their problems will be treated and at the same time their identity will be protected. Betty Ford Center’s statement read that their stuff has publicly identified one of their patients identity and hence violated the rule. The media outlets reported that it was a paid interview, where Dawn Holland blabbered out the incident in details.

Palm Desert Police Department’s spokesperson said that the case has been treated as a misdemeanor investigation. The spokesperson said that after the investigation the local district attorney would file the charges accordingly. The “Freaky Friday” actress’ attorney Shawn Chapman Holley declined to comment anything about the incident till they get the investigation reports. Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to stay in the rehab until January 3.
