Los Angeles, Nov 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) TV personality Regis Philbin has announced that he plans to come out with a television talent show just weeks after he stepped down from his iconic show on ABC. The 80-year-old recently stepped down as the co-host of the show “Live with Regis and Kelly” after spending more than 28 years on the talk show.

During a chat with New York Post’s Page Six, Regis revealed that, “We’re contemplating a show that is sort of a talent show, but it involves the whole family… a family competition, which is something new in our business. It’s going to be on prime time when it happens.”

Regis stepped down as co-host of ABC’s “Live!” show, the network has changed the show’s name to “Live! with Kelly.” Ripa Kelly has taped subsequent shows with guest hosts. “How I Met Your Mother” actor Neil Patrick Harris has been by far the most consistent guest host on the show.

Aceshowbiz.com reports that Harris will be on the show until at least the end of the week. With Harris’ departure from the show obvious, Kelly is calling for a permanent co-host to be brought on board.

The show’s producers are reportedly in the process of locating a replacement for Regis.
