Reggie Jackson to co-host radio show ‘October Nights’
October 7th, 2009 - 6:42 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Oct 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) SIRIUS XM Radio SIRI announced today that Mr. October, Hall of Fame slugger Reggie Jackson, will host a new weekly series exclusively on SIRIUS XM Radio.
It will be a 120-minutes satellite radio show in which Reggie Jackson and his co-host, Bill Pidto will take calls from the listeners.
Jackson and Bill Pidto will take calls and queries from listeners and give an expert look at the playoff picture in the American and National leagues. Jackson will talk about his own experiences in the postseason and will offer listeners a full picture on the Fall Classic and everything leading up to it - the atmosphere, the pressure, and the feeling of winning or losing the title.
“There’s nothing else like October baseball,” said Jackson. “Everything and everyone jumps up a notch - the competition, the fans, the intensity of every pitch. I was fortunate to be a part of it many times in my career and I’m looking forward to talking directly to the fans about my experiences. There’s no better place to do that than on SIRIUS XM, where we’ll have a national audience and the freedom to talk about anything and everything from around the Major Leagues. This is shaping up to be a terrific postseason with plenty of storylines and I’m excited to get started.”
Besides this, the 1946 born Reggie has his fingers in other pies as well. He is the subject of a book called ‘Sixty Feet Six Inches’ with Bob Gibson in which they talk about baseball all the time.
