32-year old Reese Witherspoon has laid her personal life bare in an open and emotional interview where she talks about her 2005 divorce and her present beau among other things.

The “Walk the Line” Oscar winner said that her divorce from husband Ryan Phillipe was “very humiliating and very isolating.” She continued the thought saying, “Those are the appropriate emotions,” and defended the pain it gave her saying, “by the way if it’s not painful, maybe it wasn’t the right decision to marry to begin with.”

The actor who played the quirky Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde”, Mrs. June Carter Cash in “Walk the Line” and Melanie Smooter in “Sweet Home Alabama”, among other remarkable roles, has a daughter with Ryan called Ava who was born when Reese was just 22. About that she said, “I was out in Los Angeles…I really didn’t have any friends. And I had a baby. No one else who was 22 had a baby.”

Reese also spoke about her Type A personality and said saying that while she is not a control-freak she can be called fearful and cautious. Asked how she deals with the paparazzi, she dismissed them saying, “I don’t take a shower everyday. I don’t put on make up everyday. I wear a lot of sunglasses, in case you noticed.”

The Academy Award winner did not say much about her current beau Jake Gyllenhaal except that he is “fabulous. He really is a fantastic guy.”

Reese Witherspoon has lent her voice to the movie “Monsters vs. Aliens” due for release soon.
