‘Red Hot Chili Peppers’ nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Los Angeles, Sept 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The band Red Hot Chili Peppers have been handed nomination for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band is among a group of other bands and performers who have been lined up for the ceremony next year.

In all, about 15 nominations have been announced for induction into the Hall of Fame in a ceremony that will take place in 2012. Some of the other bands are the Beastie Boys, Eric B. & Rakim, Laura Nyro, Donovan, Guns N’ Roses and the cure.

The honor is one of the biggest for any band or entertainer in the Rock and Roll industry. It is used to recognize the contribution of the various artists and personalities for their contribution to the growth of the genre.

This year’s nomination has been made earlier than normal. In the past, the nominations have been released in December. The event then takes place in March of the following year New York.

Red Hot Chili Peppers has come a long way since the band was formed in 1983 in Los Angeles. Their style of music has been unique with the blend on rock and funk. With the nomination, the band has indeed moved to the next level.
