Aug 21 (IBNS) Washington police have finally accepted that reality TV star Ryan Jenkins, who is on the run, has crossed into Canada. However, they said eyewitnesses told that Jenkins was behaving weirdly after landing in Canada.
“Those who have seen one Jenkins-like male in Canada said he behaved suspiciously and weirdly,” authorities said.
People magazine reported that Canadian-born Jenkins is a “person of interest” in the Los Angeles-area murder of his wife and Playboy model Jasmine Fiore.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s office in Bellingham received information that Jenkins was “attempting to make his way into Canada,” Sergeant Kevin Mead of Whatcom Sheriff’s Office says in a press line telephone recording.
Authorities from the Whatcom Sheriff’s Office, the Blaine Police Department, and agents from immigration, customs and border patrol descended on nearby Blaine, a coastal town located about 22 miles away, where they located Jenkins’s abandoned black SUV and an empty boat trailer at the local marina.
Jenkins was suspected of having headed to Point Roberts, a small community located at the southern end of a peninsula that is accessible by land only through Canada.
“Deputies received a report from a citizen that she had observed a boat being driven into the marina by a male matching Mr. Jenkins’s description, and the male was acting suspiciously,” says Sergeant Mead. “A short time later, deputies located that boat abandoned in the marina, and an intense manhunt ensued utilizing customs and a border protection helicopter … and assistance from the U.S. Marshal.
“The search failed to locate Mr. Jenkins, and it is believed that he was able to successfully cross the border into Canada on-foot. Canadian authorities were advised and they assisted us from their side, but were also unsuccessful in locating him.”
Over the weekend, the remains Jenkins’s wife were discovered folded into a suitcase in a trash receptacle in Buena Park, California.
Jenkins, a contestant on Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money 3 (and a successful real-estate developer), “was the last person seen with the victim when she was still alive,” said Buena Park police Lt. Gary Worrall.
Jenkins, 32, was also the one who reported his wife missing

Canadian officials were advised…. AFTER the fact. A little too late, wasn’t it? Not rocket science to assume that a Cdn citizen on the run might try to cross into his country before being caught. How many seconds does it take to send a fax (w’picture) to Cdn border officials, anyway?
He could have very easily been caught. Oops.
Unbelievable…………..
