Reality Star Jailed For Burglary At Orlando Bloom’s House
May 11th, 2010 - 9:05 pm ICT by Pen Men At WorkMay 11, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Alexis Neiers is the aspiring model from the reality TV program, ‘Pretty Wild’. Alexis was awarded a prison term of six months on Monday. The 18-year-old had been indicted with stealing from the dwelling of the celebrity, Orlando Bloom, who had enacted a character in the successful Pirates of The Caribbean. Bloom was likely to state under oath against her if the case had gone to full trial. She will start adhering to her prison term from June 24.
Defense attorney, Jeffrey Rubenstein, asserted that Neiers entered a no-contest plea and embraced the sentence of some time in a county penitentiary. This was better than a full-fledged hearing and a probable lengthy prison sentence.
Neiers had acknowledged that she was on Bloom’s property at the night of incident but she refuted robbing anything from his dwelling. She had articulated earlier that she had no understanding that the dwelling belonged to Bloom and was being burglarized. Neiers mentioned that she was too drunk at that time and was vomiting.
Apart from her, five other defendants will face an inquiry on May 25 to establish if whether there is adequate substantiation to necessitate them to stand trial for a sequence of robberies targeting celebrities’ abodes. The five defendants are Rachel Lee, Nicholas Prugo, Diana Tamayo, Courtney Ames, and Roy Lopez Jr
It has been mentioned that they have been components of a gang of teenage housebreakers called ‘Bling Ring’. They have targeted the abodes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Megan Fox and Rachel Bilson in the past one year.
