New Delhi, Feb 2 (IANS) Budding singer Aditya Jassi, who was once a part of the music show “Fame X”, says reality shows are not the key to Bollywood. He feels hard work and luck are more important.
“There is no shortcut to success. A reality show alone cannot guarantee you songs in films. Luck plays a very important role and so does hard work. A reality show brings you closer to people but it doesn’t help you break into Bollywood,” Jassi told IANS.

“Getting a chance to sing in films requires a lot of running around and a lot of struggle. It’s not easy,” he added.

Jassi, who has crooned Bollywood songs like “Tension lena ka nahi” (”Jugaad”) and “Utha le ya phek de” (”Dil Kabaddi”), is in talks with composers like Pritam Chakraborty and Shankar Mahadevan for their upcoming projects.

He has also crooned a song in the crossover film “Bollywood Beats”.

Jassi revealed that even though he had his share of tough times, he was lucky that he didn’t have to struggle a lot.

“I was lucky that I didn’t have to really struggle. I didn’t have to go through a typical grind,” he said.

Jassi has his own band Ni9ne and has also cut an album.

“There are seven songs of varied influences in the album that will cater to everyone. The album will release in a couple of months,” he said.

The young singer, who dreams to become a music director, says that he wants to create a separate identity for himself in the industry and would never copy any other singer.

“I look up to many artists in the industry but I want to refrain from copying anybody. I want to create my own identity. I have a modern voice,” he Jassi who is a huge fan of R.D. Burman.
