Reality show contestant to sing in Kukunoor’s ‘Kishoreda’(Snippets)May 4th, 2008 - 8:54 am ICT by admin
New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) Actor-director Nagesh Kukunoor, who has made films like “Iqbal” and “Dor”, will select a contestant from Sony TV’s reality music show “K for Kishore” to sing in his forthcoming film “Kishoreda”. While the show attempts to hunt for a voice that can succeed the legacy of the late legendary singer Kishore Kumar, Kukunoor’s film is based on the singer’s life.
“I decided to select a voice from a talent hunt show so that I can avoid doing an extensive search and screening for the right voice for my film.
“Since this show (’K for Kishore’) is directly related to my film, it was a conscious decision to pick a voice from here,” Kukunoor told IANS.
In the final episode to be telecast May 4, the director is set to announce the name of the chosen contestant.
Chitrangada, wife of golfer Randhawa, doesn’t play golf
Actress Chitrangada Singh is the wife of ace Indian golfer Jyoti Randhawa and sister of golfer Digvijay Singh, but she is not an avid golf player herself.
“I am not a golfer. But I watch a lot of golf and I like it. I would rather say that I make a good audience for the game,” she told IANS.
The actress, who won critical acclaim for her performance in Sudhir Mishra’s “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi” (2003), was last seen in 2005 in “Kal - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”.
She is now set to feature in Onir’s “Sorry Bhai” slated for release in July.
