lobezno May 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Most everyone has heard of the series of X Men movies which were based on the cartoon book series created by Stan Lee. The gist of the story is that the world is full of ’superhumans’ or mutants which are actually humans whose differences in their DNA make-up gives them super human powers or abilities. Of course there is a group of ‘bad’ mutants’ who are always wanting to harm humankind, and then there are the ‘good’ mutants called ‘X Men’ who are trying to save the world. And yes, right smack in the middle of it all is a powerful message on political correctness as the ‘normal’ humans are scared of, and want to destroy ALL mutants, because they fear what they do not understand. So yes we all pretty much know the storyline, but did you know that there are real life ’superhumans’? Me either.

Well the creator of X Men, Stan Lee has decided to change our lack of knowledge, and has teamed up with The History Channel to host a new show “Stan Lee’s Superhumans” which will introduce us all to a whole new list of ‘characters’- only these will not be cartoons. Along with co-host David Browning Smith, aka “The World’s Most Flexible Man”, Stan Lee will search the globe to bring us folks with unique abilities which were given to them-at least partially because of their special genetic make-up.

The Hollywood Reporter stated that the show “will find people who have remarkable abilities because of being genetically different.” The History Channel stated “Superhumans” will debut on the network during the third quarter and is joined by five other series and a slew of specials being greenlighted in time for the network’s upfront presentation to advertisers this week.”
