When Ray Quinn appeared on the X Factor he was chubby and admittedly loved pizza. He then earned the name Takeaway Ray and now when you see him on Dancing on Ice, you will probably think twice before calling him by his nickname. Ray showed off his toned torso and fabulous biceps in a wet t-shirt to cast off the nickname on his new show.

The 20-year old has put up a great show on Dancing on Ice easily lifting, and twirling his partner Maria Filippov but he admits he did not have this confidence before. Wearing a wet t-shirt that showed off his chiseled body he spoke of how he had put on a stone while on the X Factor and then after the show because takeaways seemed like the easiest things to eat when you are busy. But then he went on a holiday and felt terrible about himself on the beach.

Things changed when the former Brookside actor bought himself a copy of a men’ fitness magazine and jumpstarted his route to working out. He said, “About a year ago, I started to get fit. Your body changes as it gets older and with it changing I realized I could develop some sort of physique.”

But being on the West End stage and Grease helped him stay in shape and not add back on the weight he had lost because he was dancing quite a bit. But Quinn admits he has only started going to the gym in the last four months.
