Dec.08, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are reasons to feel happy for the fans of Ray Romano. He wowed the viewers with his terrific performance in the popular sitcom named ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’. He is following it up with a one hour TV drama dealing with Joe, a sad divorcee in California along with a couple of his close buddies. It is slated to be shown on TNT and his co stars in the series are Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula. If the early reviews are to be believed, the story is well written and the men deliver in the acting department. The series deals with a known subject but the director steers clear of using cliches like showing office romances. It is likely to find many takers.

The series does not offer the elements of typical men centric TV shows. Ray Romano paired up with Mike Royce, to develop ‘Men of a Certain Age’. He is also the co-executive producer of the series. Some people may think why Ray Romano is working so has after tasting success with Raymond. The actor says that writing and acting in a production gives him a high. He is quite happy with the way things have shaped up. In the series, he is essaying the role of a separated father named Joe, who is a tad neurotic.

He is seen in the TV series with diabetic and stressed out Owen and Terry, who are a small time actors, working overtime to support their lifestyle. The co-actors of Ray Romano said that they took up the roles because they found enough elements in them to do something different from what they generally do.
