July 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Elvis Presley fans across the world are surely in for a huge treat as many as three never-before-seen pictures of the musical legend has been discovered by archivists recently. The photos date back more than 50 years, the negatives of which were accidentally found by the archivists while going through the huge collection of documents in the office of the iconic singer’s father, Vernon Presley.

In the recently discovered pictures, Elvis Presley is seen greeting large number of fans in the gates of Graceland, the musical legend’s Memphis estate. Anticipation among all die-hard Elvis Presley fans has been skyrocketing since the pictures have surfaced, more so because the snaps have never been published earlier. While revealing details about the never-before-seen pictures of the ‘King of Rock and Roll,’ Angie Marchese who is the archives director of the Elvis Presley Enterprises has stated that the negatives were discovered in a small envelope which did not have anything written on it. After the negatives were scanned and further research was undertaken, it came to light that the photos were taken way back in 1957. However, a particular picture from the same series was published in a limited edition focusing on the musical icon. Archivist have divulged that the pictures were most probably taken shortly after Elvis Presley purchased the estate and the gates was installed for security.

Meanwhile, there is good news for all the hard-core Elvis Presley fans who really can’t wait to catch a glimpse of the much anticipated snaps as the pictures would be open for public viewing at a Graceland exhibit on August 16 during the Elvis Week.
