Rare Elvis Presley Photos Dating Back To 1957 Discovered

elvisJuly 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Three rare photographs of musical legend Elvis Presley have been discovered by archivists among huge piles of files that actually belonged to his father, Vernon Presley. The negatives of the photos that has been found has managed to create quite a buzz among ardent Elvis Presley followers all across the world as the pictures have never been released for public viewing. The discovery was made by the archivists at the office of Vernon Presley which is a stop on the daily tour of the musical icon’s Memphis estate, Graceland.

The director of archives at Elvis Presley Enterprises, Angie Marchese has revealed to the media that the negatives of the pictures were found tucked in an envelope. As nothing was written on the envelope, initially it was difficult to identify the exact time when the pictures were taken but further investigation brought to light the fact that the never-before-seen pictures were taken way back in 1957. The black and white pictures show the ‘King of Rock and Roll’ greeting large number of fans gathered at Graceland while some of them are sticking papers through the gates to get the autograph of their favorite musical artist. In one of the photographs, Elvis Presley is seen signing something as the fans eagerly wait to catch a glimpse of the musical legend.

Angie Marchese further stated that it is quite amazing that the pictures were never seen before and was not part of the database of the Elvis Presley Enterprises. The rare pictures would be displayed at an exhibition to be held in Graceland during the Elvis Week which is scheduled to take place during August.
