Nov.5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “American Idol” aspirant Raquel Houghton is making news once again as she has reportedly split from her longtime boyfriend Dane Cook, who is a well known comedian and actor. The two had been seeing each other for the past two years. The break up story has been making rounds in various quarters lately but no official confirmation has surfaced as yet to confirm the news.

The couple were first seen together during the premiere of Dane’s comedy movie ‘Employee of the Month’. Although the movie did not do well [nor was it appreciated by the critics], the couple had been in the limelight since then. In their much publicized romance since 2006, the couple had been spotted together in a number of events by the media. Dane is recognized for a number of comedy albums that he has released and since the year 1997, the comedian has also appeared in various movies.

28 year old Raquel Houghton is also the star performer and lead singer of the band ‘The Valli Girls’ and is said to have impressive reflexes which sets her apart from the rest of the band members. Reportedly, the band comprises of five friends who hail from the San Fernando valley. The singer is presently working really hard as she aspires to become the next “American Idol”. In her “American Idol” auditions, the singer sang the song by Dusty Springfield titled “Son of a Preacher Man”- which impressed the judges very much. The singer is also known for appearing in a number of television programs as well as a host of TV commercials. Moreover, Raquel also appeared in the movie “Baby O”.
