Port-Au-Prince, July 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It seems that Haiti-born rapper Wyclef Jean is gearing up to take a step ahead in his commitment to Haiti, the Caribbean nation that was devastated by an earthquake earlier this year. Leading news sources have reported that the multi-platinum artist and producer is considering running for presidency in the Haiti elections that is scheduled to take place in the month of November this year. The reports that Wyclef Jean might be a candidate for the post of president in the Caribbean nation has gained momentum after the hip-hop star’s family issued a statement revealing that the singer is pondering about running for presidency.
Wyclef Jean’s family released a statement that said the commitment of the musical artist towards his homeland remains boundless and he is going to stay as one of the greatest supporters of the nation irrespective of the fact whether he is part of the Haitian government or not.
