Aug 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The rapper known as ‘Vanilla Ice’, born Robert Van Winkle is due to star in a brand new television series on the DIY network, in a home improvement series which will be aptly entitled ‘The Vanilla Ice Project’.

The show is scheduled to debut on October 14 and is set to be a ten show series. Vanilla Ice is going to show off his skills in the home improvement genre, after learning the trade for the last fifteen years.

Representatives for the network stated, “Over the last 15 years, Rob has taught himself the basics of home improvement through hands-on experience. In each episode, Rob demonstrates his vast knowledge in home renovation … . He calls the shots in this room-by-room home makeover series, exposing an entirely new side of the star — one that his fans never have seen before.”

One room at a time, Vanilla Ice will show viewers how to improve their homes as cheaply as they can. He has starred previously on such shows as ‘Hollywood Squares’ and ‘The Surreal Life’. He is perhaps best known as the one hit wonder who performed the 90’s hit “Ice, Ice, Baby”. It is not yet known whether the show will air more than the scheduled ten episodes.
